Achieve Potentials uses sport and leisure activities as a tool of engagement and development. Through the activities delivered young people develop increased level of self esteem and self confidence, whilst developing personal and transferable skills. Once engaged, young people will be encouraged to develop themselves further through formal learning and undertaking training courses available to them through Achieve Potentials. Through engagement, the young people will have the opportunity to develop a range of learning outcomes. Participation in the activities allows young people the opportunity to develop social skills, increased self confidence and motivation as well as a greater understanding of their roles and responsibilities within society. Achieve Potentials will offer support and guidance to meet the needs of all young people.
Achieve Potentials offers a range of free activities in areas across Hull and the East Riding, where children and young people can actively participate in various sports in their local communities.
Achieve Potentials encourages volunteering and provides placements for young people to volunteer and develop their skills. Volunteer opportunities are available for young people of all ages.
Achieve Potentials provides curriculum support for educational establishments. A comprehensive training programme will be devised and agreed with the educational establishment in order that individual student targets are met.
Achieve Potentials engagement programmes offer schools greater choices for pupil education. Our experienced staff can deliver, on or off site, a programme of activities aimed at building pupils confidence skills and citizenship. Typically accredited programmes of education engage pupils through sport, team building and awareness raising activity. We also signpost and support pupils into our after school, evening, weekend and holiday activity.
As a recognised centre for the National Open College Network and Sports Leaders UK, we are also able to offer QCF accredited courses to pupils in an off -site setting. NOCN (QCF accredited) courses are tailored to meet your needs, from pre entry level to level 3. Course options include Career Preparation, Sport and Leisure Development, Good Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles. These courses can stand alone, or can be offered in combination with other courses such as First Aid and the Community Sports Leaders Award.
As we understand that every establishment is different, we aim to organise our programme around your needs.
